Well consinstency is definitely not my strong suit. Not only have I now drawn his boots like three different ways from page to page, accidentally put his claw on the wrong arm once, and changed my mind about how I wanted to tone Redemption, but now I've moved the window again and forgotten to put the open glass pane back on it. Oh well. Something to work on. So noted.
I probably should have highlighted his hair, too. I just don't care very much today.
I've noticed that, although mostly unintentional, Nomura and I seem to share lineart weight style. Aside from the WEWY submissions, I don't think I've styled my line art after his, although it's likely that I picked it up subconsciously during the 10 years of being a fan. But I think the heavy-yet-varied weight style only started showing up in his character art around Kingdom Hearts or so. Maybe I absorbed it from the Ehrgeiz illustrations.
Either way, I noticed it somewhere toward the end of drawing this one and tried to actually play it up a bit. Not because it's oh-so-cool to copy, but because the character is Nomura's anyway, so maybe I can build on that similarity to enhance the portrayal of the characters and certain elements of them. It's a style I've had for a few years anyhow.
I don't know what I'm saying, it's 2:14am. -_-
The font used is called Dali.
